Over the last few years of pandemic measures, things have been very rocky and uncertain for many hospitality businesses in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We took this downtime as an opportunity to really listen to our customers needs and requests, and created a very special venue for tiny events called The Hideaway. Up to 20 people can be wined and dined in the seclusion of the rainforest with an extraordinary private view of magnificent Lake Baroon. The Hideaway has its own designated service and the very best of what Secrets can offer.

The Hideaway has been perfectly designed for intimate daytime wedding receptions, birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, and your special family events. When you book this space we are able to setup and decorate the space with your own special twist… depending on the occasion.

Recently, Candy from Western Avenue Floral Design, hosted a stunning Floral Crown workshop in the Hideaway, followed by one of our famous Ultimate High Tea’s for 10. The result was amazing head gear, lots of laughter, great food and beverages, and a brilliantly successful Bridal Shower in one of the most stunning locations the hinterland has to offer.

Even more recently, The Hideaway hosted a birthday celebration for 20 with sunset drinks and cheese platter, and live music on the deck followed by a sumptuous sit down dinner. The ‘cherry on the cake’ was chefs two delicious Birthday cakes served for a couple both turning 60. The completely private Hideaway was a fabulous success, and the happy guests all had that Secrets glow of relaxation and connection as they walked out our huge hand carved cedar doors at 8.30pm .

The Hideaway is also a perfect simpler option for weddings receptions up to 20 guests. This uniquely different, stunningly special private space is dedicated to your needs and allows for no interruption from the iconic Dining on the Deck daytime rainforest restaurant nearby.
