George and Aldy would like to congratulate Fredick R for being the winner of our January competition. He won a night in a Luxury Treehouse, redeemable by 30th June 2012, by comming up with a creative way to say "Happy New Year". His poem reads:

Romantic Escape Competition Terms & Conditions
1. Length of Competition: The competition starts on the 15th of February 2012 and concludes on the 31st of March 2012.
2. Prize: A secrets picnic hamper with a bottle of champagne to be shared in our beautiful gardens at a time of your choosing before the end of June 2012, excludes times when we have weddings or other functions on in the gardens.
3. Draw: On the 31st of March 2012 owners George and Aldy Johnston will read through the replieswhich are stripped of identifying information, and select the reply that appeals to him most, good humour or inspiring words will be favoured. The winner will appear in the April newsletter and will be contacted by email.
5. The Owner's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
6. Secrets on the Lake accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
7. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond reasonable control, Secrets on the Lake reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, postpone, or amend this competition.
8. Email information is collected in order to conduct the competition. Competitors are automatically signed up to the montly newsletter which notifies people of the winner as well as future competitions. It is simple to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Personal details of any entrant will not be disclosed except in the case that the entrant is a prize winner.
