Possums

Possums is about 8 metres off the ground with a panoramic view of the lake… a view often featured in our promotional images. Possums deck has been newly extended for one of our magical custom made love seats.

A unique step down spa has a private and prime position in your lounge area… the perfect place to enjoy the champagne from your complimentary breakfast basket.

For years after we opened a resident Possum based in the wood pile visited guests on Possums deck, imploring you for tasty bits to eat. Now the Possums often bring their babies on their back to say hello.

Lake Baroon Pocket Dam

This wonderful man made lake is a relaxing view from your room. There is a lakeside picnic area with barbecues, and a playground. There are viewing platforms, barbecues and toilets near the spillway. A 2.4km walking circuit leads from the car park below the spillway into the Obi Obi Gorge along a cool rainforest trail.  Deep in the valley behind the dam wall at Lake Baroon is Obi Obi National Park. The Obi Obi Creek flows from headwaters south west of Maleny through the township and into Lake Baroon. It continues it's journey over waterfalls and rapids into the Mary River near Kenilworth.
